SPRING FLAG FOOTBALL SEASON 2025

Join Louisiana Flag Football this Spring for a season full of fun, fitness, and teamwork! Whether your child is new to the game or an experienced player, our Spring Flag Football program is designed to provide a safe, supportive, and exciting environment for all skill levels.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Ages:
5-12 years old
Divisions: 6U, 8U, 10U, and 12U

Season Dates:

Start Date: Wednesday, March 26th, 2025
Championship Weekend: Saturday & Sunday, May 24th & 25th, 2025

Wednesday, April 16th, 2025 (Spring Break/Easter)

SCHEDULE OVERVIEW

Key Dates:

Registration Deadline: Saturday, March 1st, 2025
Practices Begin: Week of March 10th, 2025
Team Assignments: Coaches will have the opportunity to bring up to five players, including their own child, to form a core group for their team. The remaining players will be auto-assigned to ensure balanced and competitive teams across all divisions. Team assignments will begin once registration closes on March 1st, 2025.
Blackout Week: April 16th, 2025 (No games due to Spring Break/Easter)
Championship Weekend: May 24th & 25th, 2025

Game Times:
Games will typically start around 5:15 PM, depending on the number of participants. Youngest age groups play first, followed by older divisions later in the evening.

Practice Guidelines:
Practice schedules are determined by each team's coach, with efforts to pair players locally for convenience.

HOUMA PARTICIPANTS

We strive to pair Houma participants with local teammates for nearby practices, depending on the availability of volunteer coaches. This ensures convenient practice locations for families while fostering a sense of community.

PARENT & PLAYER EXPECTATIONS

Arrival Times:
Players should arrive at least 15 minutes before game time for warm-ups.

Uniform Requirements:
Jerseys and flag belts provided. Mouthpieces are mandatory, cleats are recommended, and optional protective headgear can be used.

Weather Policy:
Games may be rescheduled due to inclement weather. Updates will be shared via email and social media.

Parking:
Ample parking is available at the Thibodaux Regional Sports Complex.

Chairs Policy:
Chairs are not allowed on the turf or track at the Wellness Center. Seating will be available in designated areas.

Concessions:
Snacks, drinks, and meals will be available for purchase.

Spectator Seating:
Spectators must use designated seating areas provided by the Wellness Center.

LEAGUE RULES & CODE OF CONDUCT

Gameplay Rules:
Two 25-minute halves with a running clock.

Non-Contact Play:
Strict adherence to NFL Flag guidelines ensures a safe environment for all players.
