About the League

Louisiana Flag Football  is the Official Flag Football League of Louisiana.

We have successfully provided highly organized game environments with passionate coaches, referees, and league operators for over a decade.

Mission: To instill our core values of Discipline, Integrity, and Respect into all of our participants throughout the great state of Louisiana. 

Overview: Safe, fun, and supportive youth flag football programs for boys and girls ages 3-12, serving thousands of kids each year in Louisiana. We also offer a fun, structured, and organized Cheer program for girls ages 4-12.

What is Flag Football?

Flag football is a non-contact version of football where players use flags attached to a belt to stop plays rather than tackling. It emphasizes teamwork, skill development, and strategy in a safe and enjoyable environment, making it ideal for children of all ages and skill levels. The game promotes fitness, confidence, and sportsmanship while ensuring fun for everyone involved.

Cheerleading Program

In addition to flag football, Louisiana Flag Football proudly offers a cheerleading program. This program is designed for children ages 4-12 and provides weekly practices and the opportunity to perform at games. It’s a fun and energetic way for participants to build confidence, teamwork, and school spirit while supporting their peers on the field.

  • Game Structure: Two 24-minute halves, running clock with a 5 minute halftime
  • Safety: Non-contact play, NFL Flag guidelines enforced by referees

Practice Details

All practice arrangements are decided by the individual head coach of each team. We strive our best to pair participants together with kids from surrounding home locations or schools to ensure that practices can be held in convenient locations for families.

  • Admission: $5 Entry Fee charged for adults (cash only); head coaches, players, and kids under 12 enter free. 

Registration Process

Registering for Louisiana Flag Football is simple and straightforward. Follow these steps to get started:
Teams are typically formed about one week after registrations close for each season. Once teams are finalized, parents can expect to hear from their child’s coach with details on practices and schedules, which will begin shortly thereafter.

  1. Visit the Website: Go to louisianaflagfootball.com and navigate to the "Registration" section.
  2. Create an Account: If you’re a first-time participant, create a new account by entering your contact information.
  3. Select a Program: Choose the appropriate program for your child based on their age and interests (e.g., flag football or cheerleading).
  4. Complete the Form: Fill out the registration form with your child’s details, including their age, preferred location, and any special requests (e.g., teammate pairing).
  5. Submit Payment: Pay the registration fee securely online. Accepted payment methods are listed on the website.
  6. Confirmation: Once registered, you’ll receive a confirmation email with further instructions, including team assignment and practice details.

We can’t make it out of town after work and school so this is perfect for us."
